The rheological behavior of pastes made with fly ash-slag blends in alkali silicate activating solutions is evaluated. link between the solution composition and fundamental alkali-activated are studied for different blends. transient response prior to initiation flow under an applied strain rate varies yield-type or Maxwell-flow behaviors depending on silica content solution. Adding dissolved alkaline initially produces a decrease yield stress paste, but further increase transitions type behavior. Maxwell fluid-dominated apparent constant rate. increases sensitively increasing On solution, there plastic viscosity pastes. thixotropy paste influenced by slag blend. Blends exhibit rapid recovery after shearing. structural rebuilding energy (SRE) very rapidly age activated mixtures containing silica. which have significantly slower buildup indicated lower SRE compared material blend contributes SRE. requirements rheology control processing including pumping 3D concrete printing
